We aren’t exaggerating when we said that this was an extremely strong week. We had our best artists coming in to play with strong works that make the rest of the countdown stronger by being here. The competition was fierce as Madd Hatter, who had been a regular in this countdown for more than a month couldn’t even break in despite several strong submissions that included an excellent series of Elizabeth Gillies nude and the countdown debut for some lovely Juno Tempo nudes. 9) Hayden Panettiere. This is clearly the most unusual of the fakes we saw this week and also one of the best. Don’t let that number nine ranking make you think this is anything but a high caliber fake of Hayden Panettiere nude. If this was any other week this one would have been in the top five for sure because we really love the creativity brought to this as Hayden gets naked for a fake poster for a fake TV show we will never see. But if this show really did have Hayden Panettiere naked you’d better believe we would watch it even if what we see is a little disturbing. And that can be a good thing. There’s always a line when too much can be too much, especially when it comes to violence. There’s a point that we just are not comfortable going beyond, but something a little different and a little twisted can also be fun and besides we’re not here to be moral scolds. We’re here to judge art and as strange and dark as this one is, it’s damn fine art. So we welcome the disturbing vibe this one gives out and appreciate this artwork for what it is. The artist didn’t want to play it safe and with so many fakes being shown each and every week it’s easy to get numb to the effects of generic, run of the mill artwork. We don’t get that here, though. It’s weird but it’s fun.

Now obviously when discussing this fake you have to get into the violent nature of it. You don’t see what happened, but something bad has happened clearly. The name of this fake show is Prisoner of War and while you’re not sure if Hayden is meant to be the prisoner or a twisted captor, but either way something bad is going down here judging from that sharp knife in her hand, the cut on her face and the stitches across her stomach. And the smile on her face in the wake of violence is quite disturbing too. But it all works to this fake’s advantage. We talked above about how there has to be a line that can’t be crossed, but while this fake approaches it, it does so in a good way, playing with our expectations and being anything but boring. This is bold and imaginative and it’s dark without being over the top. Now who the artist is appears to be a bit of a mystery since we don’t see a signature or anything around here but whomever they are this is great work. It’s a bit of an edge to the fun here, showing that nudity doesn’t just have to be about sex, it can be about something darker and more violent. It can take things right to the limits of what we’re able to accept and make us think deep about sex and violence and madness. This one packs a hell of a punch.

8 ) Cheryl Cole. And after that trip into the dark side, how about we lighten the mood a little bit while still retaining an edge? This Girls Aloud icon is a superstar in Britain but has never really crossed over to America. But fortunately Celebrity Pass is not all USA all the time, especially when there’s a girl as hot as we see here in these Cheryl Cole nude fakes that were updated to the site this week. This is the best of the bunch and a strong entrant into the countdown that we’re very happy to have because it shows off a woman in the best possible way and brings strong work to someone who deserves more exposure.
